Roger William Vojtko

Roger William Vojtko, age 60, of Girard, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 18, 2013, surrounded by his family. Born July 7, 1953, in Girard, he was a son of the late George and Anna Sharie Vojtko.

Roger was a 1971 graduate of Fairview High School. He had been employed at Parker White Metal Company for over 33 years and before that at Top Roc Pre-Cast for 10 years. Roger loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Roger mostly adored being with his children and grandchildren teaching and sharing his hobbies. He was a member of the NRA and Moose Lodge 472 in Conneaut, OH.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his daughter Dawn. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Amann Vojtko, whom he married on June 20, 1975; his children: Jennifer, Jeremiah (Courtney), and Joshua (Lynne); seven grandchildren: Katlyn, Devin, Nolan, Connor, Joel, Samantha and “Peanut”; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Ron and Arlene Niemic and Marian Nicks; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog Faith.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m. in Burton’s All Faiths Chapel with Rev.
