Roger Dennis Johnson

Roger Dennis Johnson, age 84 of Corry and formerly of San Diego passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at UPMC Hamot. He was born on March 27, 1939 in Oshkosh, WI to the late Albert Carl and Jessie May Stiller Johnson.

Roger graduated from Grossmont High School in El Cajon, CA. He was a 22 year Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam war as a Tech Sgt., retiring in 1979. He owned and operated Country Stylers, where he taught line dance lessons and ran a DJ business.

He was a member of the Center Street Evangelical Church of Corry and the College Avenue Church in San Diego, CA.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a son, Michael Johnson.

He’s survived by his wife of 25 years, Carol J. Morgan Johnson; a son, Gary Johnson; 3 sisters: Charlotte Dart of Oregon, Muriel Sawaya and June Gurney, both of California and a brother, Maurice Wolfe (Jean) of California. Roger is also survived by stepchildren: John Mogan (Gail) of Boyd, TX, Mary Lauffenburger (Todd) of Russell, PA, James Reaugh (Amanda) of Poway, CA; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Committal services will be held at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA on February 23, 2024 at 12:30 PM.
