Robin Arvickson

Robin Sue Arvickson, 61, of Erie died Thursday, October 8, 2015 from complications due to cancer.
     Robin was born in Erie on November 6, 1953, the daughter of Phyllis J. Cowley Belcher and the late Blair F. Arvickson who died on May 18, 1978.
     She graduated from Wattsburg Area High School, class of 1971.
     She was employed by Supportive Living Services Inc. for 37 years and was their Fiscal Officer until her illness made her unable to continue working.
     She was an avid genealogist and historian. She compiled and published numerous books on veterans of the War of 1812, The Civil War and The Spanish American War.
     Robin was a member of The Presque Isle Chapter DAR, Fort LeBoeuf Chapter DAC, Lake Erie Chapter Daughters of 1812,Presque Isle Chapter C.A.R. and SVEA Lodge #296 (Vasa Order of America)
     Besides her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Amanda Hollinger and her husband Henry of Erie, her sister Kimberley Arvickson of Erie, her brother, Scott Arvickson of Wattsburg and her stepfather, Richard Belcher of Millcreek.  Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
     The family would like to thank Regional Home Health and Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care.
     Because of her devotion to her beloved cats, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to French Creek Animal Rescue, 13869 Rt 19, Waterford, PA 16441.
     A Reception of Friends will be held at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, Monday from 3 until 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of a Memorial Service there at Noon.  Deacon Kevin J. Kunik of Blessed Sacrament Church will officiate.  Inurnment in Erie Cemetery Columbarium.  In appreciation for all Robin did for the veterans throughout the country, VFW Billy Simpson Post 470 will conduct services following the inurnment.
