Roberta Gaines

Roberta Louise Gaines, age 62, of Erie, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital-Allegheny Health Network.  

She was born in Erie on January 27, 1956 a daughter of the late Robert Louis and Lizzie Mae Gaines.

Roberta was a graduate of Academy High School in 1974, and a graduate of the St. Vincent School of Nursing as an LPN in 1992.  She enjoyed movies and helping others.

Roberta was a former member of Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Larry Thomas and son, Arthur Lee Gamble, Jr.

Roberta is survived by her longtime companion, Arthur Lee Gamble, son, Michael Gaines of Erie; two brothers, Walter Thomas III (Quilly), and Zechariah Gaines (Dora), both of Erie; and two sisters, Patricia Houston of Pelham, NY and Loretta Gaines of San Francisco, CA.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W.10^th St., Erie on Saturday March 10^th from 11 am until the time of service at 12 Noon with Elder Harry Euell of Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. officiating.
