Robert “Bob” Weschler, age 82, of Spring, Texas passed away peacefully on May 10, 2016.
Robert was born April, 6th 1934 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Elmer and Dorothy (Pichler) Weschler. He graduated from Cathedral Preparatory School in 1952. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps at 29 Palms, California from 1953-1956 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After returning from service he attended Gannon University. Robert was owner of Hearing Conservation Services and traveled western Pennsylvania extensively providing audiology care to many people. He spent a great deal of his days caring for the elderly and had a special kinship with them. Robert was an avid cook, handyman, loved telling jokes, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved Rottweiler, Randy.
Robert is survived by his four children, Robert D. Weschler of Sugar Land, TX, Corine Peterson of North Tustin, CA, John Weschler of Spring, TX and Tara Weschler of Apex, NC; and also four grandchildren, Jonathan, Emma, Amanda and David.
Graveside service will be held at Trinity Cemetery on Saturday, May 14th at 2:30pm.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue.)
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paws and Stripes Foundation, www.pawsandstripes.org, which provides service dogs for wounded military veterans.
