Robert Wall

Robert S. (Hallam) Wall, age 81, of Erie , died on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Sunrise Assisted Living.

He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 16, 1933 the son of John and Margaret (Wahly) Hallam. He was the stepson of Thomas McCrea Wall and grandson of Hazel Mae (Kennedy) Wall.

Robert attended the Pennsylvania Military Preparatory School and graduated from Strong Vincent High School. He then served in the U.S. Army. Robert graduated from Slippery Rock State College and attended Penn State University. He received advanced degrees from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Wall was an educator, guidance counselor, athletic coach, licensed psychologist and school administrator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Martin Wall.

He is survived by two sons, Jack M. Wall and his wife Amy and Steven H. Wall and his wife Donna, both of Harborcreek; three granddaughters, Jessica, Emily and Katey Wall and one grandson, Joshua Hill. Two sisters, Hazel Geracimas and Roberta Scherer survive Robert as well as nieces and nephews.

There were no services at the request of the decedent.

Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, is in charge of the arrangements.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Avenue, Erie PA 16505.
