Robert "Bob" James Walker passed away peacefully on August 29, 2014, at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor, FL. Bob was born in Erie, PA on May 3, 1934. Bob was the son of the late Robert and Adelene Moore Walker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Catherine A. Cruise Walker. Survivors include daughter Anne Marie Walker of Jeffersonville, PA, son Robert A. Walker and wife Kellie of Clearwater, FL, and James A. Walker and wife Rosanne of Buckhannon, WV. He was a grandfather to Kyle, Robby, Samuel, Harrison and Lena Rose. He is also survived by his brother William Walker and wife Donna of Doylestown, PA., and sister-in-law Barbara Weaver and husband Larry of Erie.
Bob was a lifetime resident of Erie. He graduated from Academy High School in 1953 and spent 2 years in the U.S. Army proudly defending our country in Korea. He then returned to Erie, was employed with Monroe Business Machines, and retired from Decker Steel after 25 years to spend time with his loving wife Catherine.
Bob was an avid woodworker, builder, handyman, gardener, and wine maker. He always enjoyed Scottish music and the sound of the bag pipes. After his retirement he was a volunteer at the Erie Food Bank and was passionate about his work as a toy builder for Santa's Workshop for needy kids in the Erie area. He loved spending time with his wife Catherine, their children, and grandchildren at home in their yard during the beautiful Erie summers. May God rest his soul.

There will be a reception for family and friends at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, on Friday, October 3rd 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Section 36, on Saturday, October 4th 2014 at 9:15 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. William E. Biebel officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army assisted by the Erie Crawford County Burial Detail.
