Robert Valimont

Robert "Bob" Valimont age 57 of Millcreek, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Bob was born in Erie, PA on January 21, 1955, the son of the late Wilfred and Dolores Pettorini Valimont.

He graduated from McDowell High School, Class of 1972.

Robert was a production supervisor at FormTech Industries formerly the Yates Company for over 30 years. His pride and joy was his family especially his grandchildren.

He was an avid bowler and enjoyed stamp collecting, bird watching, camping and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Cheryl Valimont; his two daughters Lisa Theiss and her fiancé Joshua McKinney and Lori Blakeslee and husband Mike; two grandchildren Aaron Theiss and Grace McKinney; his brother Bruce Valimont; three sisters, Debbie Stone (Tom), Sheila Boehm (fiancé Stan) and Melanie Valimont; and his brothers and sister in laws, Deborah Snyder, Fred Whitesel (Deborah), Elaine Oswalt (Russell) and Cynthia Crosby (Dennis). He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Avenue) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m and are invited to a service there on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the family in care of the Burton Funeral Home.
