Robert L. Valimont, Age 69, of Erie, died on April 1, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Frenchville, PA on May 28, 1944, the son of the late Bernard Francis Valimont and Betty Brown Valimont Pressor.
Robert graduated from Academy High School. He was a machinist, working his way to supervisor at Erie Bolt. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. He loved camping at Virginia’s beach, fishing, boating, the Final Four, Nascar and baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father Frank Pressor.
Robert is survived by Joanne Valimont; two sons Kirk (Jessica) Decker and Keith (Meagan) Decker; and three grandchildren Olivia, Milo and Peri Decker. He is further survived by his sister Phyllis (Craig) Tenbuckle; two brothers-in-law Al and Bill Dore’; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday April 10th at 4pm with Rev. John Dyke officiating at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave.)
