Robert Stone

Robert F. Stone Jr., age 59, of Erie, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Albany, NY on October 4, 1955 a son of the late Robert F. and Pearl Hale Stone Sr.

Bob was a student at Strong Vincent High School and served in the US Marines Reserve. He was a great fisherman and an avid fan of Jeff Gordon and NASCAR Racing as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also very fond of his puppy “Patches”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kyleah as well as sisters Fran Loftus and Patricia Ann Briggs.

In addition to his wife Cindy Eisert Stone, he leaves four children and three stepchildren; Robert F. Stone III (Toni) of Erie, Susan Stone also of Erie, Tanya Plyler (Robert) of Erie,Matthew Stone (Michelle) of Brookville, Pa., David Brine Jr. (Rebecca) of Fort Carson, CO, Matt Brine (Brandy), and Christy Richardson (Walt) of Erie. 12 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren remain along with two sisters; Barbara Hallett (Richard) of Schenectady, NY and Sandra Barber (William) of Erie.

Friends may visit at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa. 16502 on Saturday from 4:00 pm till the time of sharing memories there at 6:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Burton Funeral Home.
