Robert Scarvell

     Robert P. "Butchie" Scarvell, 74, died Friday, February 22, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness.  He was born May 18, 1938, in Farrell, PA, son of the late Joseph and Zolla Sabo Scarvell.
     He graduated from Farrell High School, Farrell, PA and from Edinboro University with a Masters in Library Science.  He did graduate work at Clarion University and was the Librarian for Girard High School for 30 years retiring in 2006.
     Mr. Scarvell was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
     Survivors include a sister, Arlene R. Ellis and husband James of Mt. Pleasant, SC and a brother, Joseph Scarvell and wife Joan of Hubbard, OH and is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
     Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, Erie. 
     Family and friends are invited to a Service of Remembrance at the Pustinger Funeral Home, 1310 Idaho Street, Farrell, PA, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1 p.m.  A reception will follow.
