Robert “Papa” H. Leuschen, Jr.

Robert “Papa” H. Leuschen, Jr, age 59, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Fairview Manor. He was born on March 8, 1961, in Erie, to the late Robert Leuschen, Sr. and Rose Snars Leuschen.

He attended Aberdeen High School in California before enlisting in the United States Army. Upon returning to the Girard area, he worked at Beachwood Plastics for ten years.

Robert was always laughing and had a great sense of humor. He loved his coffee and could always be found sketching on a piece of paper, tinkering on numerous bicycles or doing puzzles. Above all, Papa loved to babysit his grandchildren. Robert had been an active fireman at several local stations and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Donna Leuschen.

Robert is survived by his children, Angie Leuschen (David), Robert Leuschen III, Veronica (Eric) Leuschen, Crystal (Mike) Colon and Theresa McFadden; 17 grandchildren; his step-mother, Edie Leuschen; his former spouse of 26 years, Tonia Leuschen; and family friend, Joe Roman.

Friends may call on the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street, Girard, PA 16417 on Saturday, December 26 from 10:00 until time of service at 12:00. Burial will be at Girard Cemetery with full Military Honors. All CDC guidelines will be followed, capacity limits, social distancing and masks will be required.
