Robert J. “Bob” McCall, age 82, of Erie, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, May 21st.
Bob was born on June 8, 1941 in Erie, a son of the late Raymond and Mildred Stabline McCall. He is a 1961 graduate of Academy High School and served in the U.S. Army. He owned the A&B Tavern for 28 years and was also employed as a Lift driver for 19 years. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, he also enjoyed gardening and had a love for dogs. He was a member of the Star Club and the Siebenbuerger Club.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by two brothers, Ray McCall and Richard McCall; and three sisters, Jean Stebell, Geraldine Anderson, and Margaret Ralston.
He is survived by his companion of 38 years, Carol A. Wagner; two sons, Brian J. McCall and wife Denise, and Greg M. McCall (Dina Mason), both of Fairview; one daughter Kim Augustine ( Richard); nine grandchildren, Ashley, Corey, Abby and Kayley McCall; Jackson, Ryan, William, Harrison and Ronan Augustine; a sister, Barbara Warnkin (Dean); one brother, Edward McCall; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge the Maple Floor staff at Sarah Reed for their excellent care and compassion given to our father during his stay.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn-Scott at West Ridge, 3801 W 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506, on Saturday, May 25th from 10 AM to 1:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 PM with full Military honors.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of NWPA or the A.N.N.A. Shelter.
