Robert Lemon

Robert K. Lemon, age 84, formerly of Millcreek and Oil City, passed away with his family beside him, at Riverwoods Assisted Living in Lewisburg, PA on Tuesday May 12, 2015.

Born in Washington, D.C., the son of the late James McWilliams Lemon and Mildred E. Kimball.

Mr. Lemon was a graduate of Calvin Coolidge High School Washington, DC, and

Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.

He was a Registered Engineer and worked as Director of Engineering at Hamot Medical Center.

Bob was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society of

Hospital Engineers, the American Society of Professional Engineers and the Coast Guard

Auxiliary.

Active in the Masonic order, he was a member of the Oil City Lodge No. 710

F. & A. M.; the Scottish Rite Consistory, in New Castle, PA; and Zem Zem Shrine, Erie.

He was also a member of the Erie Yacht Club. Bob was a board member of the Second

Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania, and chairperson of its Physical Plant.

Bob was an avid boater, and enjoyed taking the family to the Erie Zoo on visits.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Matilda J. Lemon in January, 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan J. Grissinger and her husband Lawrence, of Selinsgrove, PA; a son, Robert S. Lemon and his wife Barbara, of Middletown, DE; and five granddaughters, Corey Jusko and husband Ken, great grandchildren Nolan and Maya; Jennifer Bilger and husband Justin, great granddaughter Nora; Laura Grissinger, Samantha Lemon, Dorothy Russell and husband Eric, great granddaughter Carli.

Robert moved to Selinsgrove, PA in 2011 and lived with his daughter and son-in-law until June, 2012. After a short illness, he moved to Riverwoods Senior Community where he resided until his death.

Friends may call at the Burton West Lake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, on Monday, May 18th from 10 am until the time of service there at 12 noon.

Entombment will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
