Robert C. Lemmler, age 78 of Erie, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at St. Mary’s East.
He was born in Olean, NY on September 1, 1935, a son of the late Lloyd and Virginia Grigsby Lemmler.
Robert graduated from Port Allegheny High School, Class of 1953, attended Penn State Behrend, and received his Electrical Engineering Degree from Penn State, University Park in 1966.
He was an electrical engineer with General Electric for more than 35 years. Robert was a member of the Lawrence Park Planning Commission, a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association and Boy Scouts of America.
Robert enjoyed the outdoors, especially archery, hunting and camping. He was able to enjoy two great hunting trips to Montana. He loved watching Penn State football, bowling with his wife of 56 years, and traveling throughout all the United States.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Donna J. Baker Lemmler, his daughter Lisa Lemmler and her good friend Robert, his brother John H. Lemmler of Albuquerque, NM, his sister Marion Bittner of Williamsport, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Rd. on Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m., and attend the funeral service there on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Edmonds officiating.
Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
