Robert Larson, 97 years old, passed from this earth on March 17th, 2025, at the Erie VA Hospice. Bob was born on December 30, 1927, to late Anna Grode Larson and the late Joseph Kromo. As a child he was adopted by the late Clifford Larson, who with his wife Anna Grode, raised him in Erie, PA amid a big German family including his grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He attended Cathedral Prep and Academy High School. After his service in the Army during WWII where he served in northern Italy, he attended both Gannon University and Western Reserve in Cleveland.

He returned to Erie and along with his mother opened Larson’s Tearoom. He would become a premier caterer in Erie for the next couple decades. Bob left the Erie area for Cleveland where he had many sales positions.

Bob was a chef extraordinaire and all his life enjoyed making gourmet meals for his family and friends. He belonged to the North Coast Men’s Gourmet Club in the Cleveland area. He and his wife Maureen would participate in elaborate monthly dinners prepared by the husbands.

He was a patron of the Cleveland Playhouse and also the Cleveland Museum of Art.

He was an avid reader and kept up with all the Cleveland sports teams.

Along with his parents, he is proceeded in death by his son, Douglas Larson; his first wife, Jeanne Klett Larson and his second wife, Maureen Delvecchio Larson.

Bob is survived by his son, Jeffrey Larson and his wife, Lynne Shary Larson, Farmington Hills, MI; daughter, Pam Davis and her husband, David Davis of Erie and daughter, Carrie Cray and her husband, Dennis Cray also of Erie. He is the proud grandfather of Emily Larson and Eric Larson (Katie), Sarah Davis and Ben Davis and Jackie Young (Dale).

Bob was also excited to welcome his first great-grandson Rory Young this past year and was looking forward to welcoming two more great-grandchildren this spring.

According to his wishes, private arrangements are being handled by Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W 10th St. and Bob will be interred in Saratoga Springs, NY.
