Robert Friday

Robert C. "Bob" Friday, 73, of Erie, died Fri., Oct. 5, 2012 at UPMC Hamot. He was born April 26, 1939 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Charles H. and Kathryn Lutz Friday. A graduate of St. Basil High School, Carrick, PA, he studied journalism at Duquesne University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served as an Airman 1st Class. Bob worked as an elevator inspector for National Elevator Inspection Services for twenty years retiring in 2003.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Rosanne Brogley Friday; a son, Paul R. Friday and wife Lesley of New York, NY; two sisters, Marilyn J. Pugh of Erie, PA and June K. McCormick of Prescott, AZ; a granddaughter, Penelope Friday; and several nieces and nephews. 
 
He had many fond memories of family and friends, including Robin Pugh Maglicco, Robert Pugh, and Dennis Queen.  Bob enjoyed talking with people, he was quick to tell a joke, and he was always ready to help people when he could.
 
Friends may call Tuesday 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St. A service will be held there Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Frank E. Palermo of Faith International Christian Center officiating. Erie Crawford County Burial Detail will conduct military honors immediately following. Private burial will be at Erie Cemetery.
