Robert Freeling

Robert F. Freeling, age 61, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 4, 1959, son of the late George and Alice (Parsons) Freeling.

Robert graduated from Bensalem High School in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved camping.  In his spare time he would golf and watch sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He read vastly about American History. 

Robert was a craftsman who performed jobs ranging from carpentry to producing luxury musical instruments. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Clarke and Alice Beaudoin.

He is survived by three children, Erin Freeling and her wife Bobbie Jo Snyder, Robert Freeling, Jr. and his wife Jenna DeMareo and Sean Freeling, two brothers, George Freeling and Joseph Freeling and a sister, Margaret Freeling. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.  He will also be greatly missed by his grandson, Nolan, with whom he spent the vast majority of his retirement and was endearingly referred to as “Pop-pops”.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until the time of service there at 7 p.m.
