Robert C. Dzurik, age 63, of Erie, died Sunday morning November 4th at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born on February 8, 1949 son of the late Joseph and Helen Mangold Dzurik. He attended St. Lukes and Technical Memorial High School.
Robert was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the US Army. He received many Military Honors in his lifetime: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Overseas Service Bars (2), Sharpshooter M14.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Dzurik.
Survivors include his son Luke and his wife Melanie of Erie; two daughters Stacy Dzurik of Erie and Lisa Dzurik of Corry; two brothers: Michael Dzurik and his wife Rebecca of Erie and Jeffery Dzurik and his wife Michelle of Edmond, OK, and a sister Mary Kay Nies and her husband David of Erie; three grandchildren: Dakota and Justin Dzurik and Madison Brown; his best friend, Karen Foust, of Harborcreek; and seven nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th St. (at Powell Ave.), Erie, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Thursday at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Church, Route 97 Waterford, PA at 10 am with Reverend Thomas Whitman presiding.
Burial in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery with full military honors.
