Robert Chester Doritty, age 81 of Albion, passed away at UPMC Hamot on Friday March 7, 2025, following a brief illness.
He was born in Erie on December 7, 1943, a son of the late Charles A. and Viola Harner Doritty.
Bob was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School in Erie and went on to serve in the United States Airforce. He worked as a postal employee for the United States Postal Service for many years in Erie. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was a member of the Girard American Legion and love to build and could fix almost anything.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Mildred Pearl Doritty; and several brothers and sisters.
Bob is survived by his children; Gretchen Jackman, Charles A. Doritty II and his wife Leann; Robert A. Doritty and his wife Michelle, and Daniel R. Doritty and his wife Jessie; two brothers, Richard Doritty and his wife Sharon, and Jim Doritty; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home Inc, 525 Main Street East, Girard.
