Robert Dixon

Robert E Dixon, age 65 of Erie peacefully passed away on Tuesday December 27,2022 surrounded by loved ones. Bob grew up in Erie attending East High enjoying his high school football and wrestling career. Bob continued his education obtaining his BS in Physical Education at Edinboro University and went on to receive his MA in education at Gannon University. His desire to teach the younger generation led him to his position as PE educator and coach within the Erie School District. Bob enjoyed so many activities outside of his teaching duties. Bob's love for football, particularly the Los Angeles Rams was legendary. Bob was also a master of BBQ and other various hobbies including scale models and miniatures, bass guitar, video games which he ecstatically tackled upon retirement in 2020.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents James R Dixon Sr. and Genotrice Dixon ( Thompson).Also Preceded by his son Robert E. Dixon Jr. in infancy, his mother in law Jeannine A Liebel, brothers in law Richard J Liebel Jr, Albino Sigua and Jeffrey A Baker.

He is survived by his loving wife and partner in crime Carolyn who together recently celebrated their 37th year of memories and marriage. Bob was also the very proud father of his son Reaud R Dixon, his wife Karlie E Dixon and the doting grandfather to his granddaughter Isabella Azelea Dixon. Bob was looking forward to his new grandson due in April who will be sure to hear numerous stories about his legendary grandfather Big Daddy. Also surviving, his brother and sister James R. Dixon Jr, Kim Parker Jones ( Vincent), father in law Richard Liebel and sister in laws Janice Baker Carangi (Tom and Cheryl Mazurik (Mike). Cousins, neices and nephews, too many to mention are also mourning his loss.

Per Bob's request there will be no formal viewing or service. His wishes will be carried out by his family at a future date and time.
