Robert Degner, Jr.

     Robert E. Degner, Jr., 61, of Welsh, LA, and formerly of Erie, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Jennings American Legion Hospital, Jennings, LA.  He was born on September 23, 1956, in Erie, son of Robert E. Degner, Sr. and the late Barbara J. Bearce Degner Mowrey.  A 1975 graduate of General McLane High School, Bob was an offshore driller for ENSCO in Louisiana for over 30 years.  During his time off he enjoyed attending motorcycle rallies.
     He was preceded in death by his mother.
     Survivors include his father, Robert E. Degner, Sr.; a sister, Joan C. Degner, two nephews, Brad Scowden and William Fuhrman (Julie); and a niece; all of Erie.
     Friends may call Sunday from Noon until 3 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street.  A service will be held there Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard A. Moyer officiating.  Family and friends are welcome to re-assemble at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville, Pa. for the Service of Committal.
