Robert Cashin

Robert P. “Bob” Cashin, age 71, of Erie, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Yonkers, NY on September 30, 1942, a son of the late Francis Cashin and Mary Ellen McIntyre.

Bob graduated from Sacred Heart high School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College.

He worked as a Chemical Engineer for Lord Corp for 26 years.

Bob loved tropical fish and was a world renowned expert on live bearer fish. He was a food aficionado who loved to cook and go out to restaurants. Bob always enjoyed traveling and visiting new places.

He was the president of the Erie Aquarium Society.

Bob is survived by several cousins and many close friends.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.

Burial will be private.
