Robert Amendola

Robert Amendola, age 86, passed away peacefully Friday, March 7th, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 13, 1938, he was the son of the late Paul and Julia (Parris) Amendola.

Bob was self-employed for over thirty years in the construction industry as a partner in Amendola Brothers Construction Company. After retirement, he was successful in selling real estate and co-developed Kinetics, a medical supply company. Bob was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. George Church for over 40 years.

Bob enjoyed golfing year-round at Lawrence Park Golf Club in the summer and Cove Cay Golf Club in Clearwater, Florida where he resided in the winter. He was proud of the three hole-in-ones that he shot over the years! Bob liked to spend evenings playing cards with his Cove Cay family and friends. Bob was extremely proud of his family and loved spending time and sharing meals with them. Decades of family Sunday dinners were a long standing tradition with his children and grandchildren. Bob was a pillar of strength and support for his family, full of wisdom and advice for every situation.

Bob is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Mary (Mollberg) Amendola, and two brothers, Paul (Patricia) and Richard Amendola.

He is survived by one son, Robert Amendola (Jennifer), two daughters, Deborah Amendola (Dave), Lisa M. Gingenbach (Frederick); a sister, Betty Ventrello (Chuck); grandchildren, Leah Cook (Tory), Derek Amendola (Jordan), Garrett Gingenbach (Alexandra), Tyler Gingenbach and Brianna Amendola; great-grandchild, Ainsley; a special friend Mary Riepe; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Inc., West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St. on Saturday, March 22nd from 1 until the time of memorial service there at 3 PM.
