Complete Obituary Information For: Robert J. “Jerry” Adler

Robert J. “Jerry” Adler, Jr. age 79, of Uniontown, PA and formerly of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Uniontown Hospital.

He was born in Uniontown, PA, on March 23, 1936, the son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Virginia Dollison Adler.

Mr. Adler was a 1963 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelors Degree, and a 1969

graduate of Gannon University from where he received a Master’s Degree. He was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and the Penn State Club of Erie County.

He taught in the Saegertown Junior-Senior High School from 1963 until 1969 and then for many years was a counselor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and an aunt, Margaret Dollison.

Survivors include two cousins and their families, Mary Jane Semsey and her husband Bob of Uniontown and Larry Stange and his wife Elizabeth of Illinois.

Friends may call at the Burton West Lake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Tuesday July 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Lewis of Lakewood United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
