Rita Lewis Seifert, age 88, of Fairview and formerly Erie, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Pleasant Ridge Manor, West.
She was born in Erie, on March 21, 1927, a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret O’Brien Burger.
Rita had been an inspector at Kondu Corporation for 20 years and later worked at Spectrum Control. She was a member of Holy Cross Church where she also belonged to the Rosary Society and the Tri Boro Senior Center for many years. Her family meant the world to her, she also loved helping people, sewing and embroidery, and camping with her son, where at the campground she was known as “Grandma”.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Donald G. Lewis, her second husband James Seifert, two brother, John and Charles Burger; and a sister, Ellen Kierzek.
Rita is survived by a son Robert P. Lewis and his wife Kathy, of Fairview; 2 grandsons: James Lewis of OH and Jason Lewis and his wife Jess of Lancaster; three great granddaughters: Abby, Molly, and Zoey Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 West Main St. Girard on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm and are invited to attend services there on Thursday at 9am. with Rev. Thomas Tyler officiating. Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
