Ricky Barnes Sr.

Ricky Barnes Sr., age 58, of Erie, PA passed away unexpectedly, March 18, 2024. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 19, 1965, to the late William Barnes and Ruth Irene Barnes-White. 

Ricky was a hardworking and dedicated man, who served as an Airborne Ranger for the United States Army. After his time served, followed a career of truck driving for 30+ years. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. In his free time, he enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his family, as well as hunting and fishing. He will be missed dearly by everyone whose life he touched. 

Ricky is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Ashley, Ricky Jr., and Lilianna Barnes; grandchildren, Knijre Naylor, Kyelle Naylor and Ricky Barnes III; sisters, Julie Swab and Kimberly Barnes; stepchildren, Jesse and Kasey Bateman, and his stepfather, Bob White. 

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W 10th St., on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A time of sharing will conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ricky’s memory to the care of his family.
