Richard T. Zatynski

Richard T. Zatynski, age 70 of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born in Erie on July 8, 1954, to the late Joseph F. Sr. and Kathryn P. Guagliardi Zatynski. 

Rich graduated from Strong Vincent High School, class of 1972 and attended Edinboro University. He was employed at Erie Forge for over 23 years. In later life he drove a tractor trailer for various companies in the Erie area retiring in 2019.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his wife Eileen in 2018 and a sister, Theresa Chaplain. 

He’s survived by his brother Joe (Ellen) Zatynski of Richmond VA, his sister, Mary Ann (Peter) Kuzmak of Keymar, MD and brother-in-law Buddy Chaplain. He’s further survived by 2 nieces, Jessica Chaplain and Kelly Varney and 5 nephews, William Page, Brian Page, Jeff Zatynski, Jason Chaplain and Scott Chaplain.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd, Erie. PA., on Monday September 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Mass in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 PM officiated by Rev. Marc Stockton of St. Boniface Church. Burial will follow at Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery.
