Richard Wittenburg

Richard Wittenburg, age 63, of Millcreek, passed away unexpectedly Monday June 17, 2013 at UPMC Hamot.

Richard was born in Erie on August 31, 1949, son of David R. and Marian Culhane Wittenburg of Erie. He graduated from McDowell High School and worked various jobs in Erie for many years. He was a Past President and Volunteer of the Lake Shore Fire Department. He loved camping, Nascar, and the Pittsburg Steelers.

He was preceded in death by a nephew SSG Jeremy Horton.

Along with his parents he is survived by his wife of 22 years Sharon McNaughton Wittenburg; a sister Gretchen Miller and his brother-in-law Adam Kernohan both of Erie and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in mid-July at a time to be announced.
