Richard L. Williams, Jr. age 52 of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Fairview Manor. He was born in Erie on March 24, 1965 a son of Richard L. Sr. and Barbara Jean Tangle. Williams. Richard also known as Ricky was a hard worker, determined to always do more. He graduated from Tech Memorial High School where he played basketball, football, and also ran track and field. He also got his Associate degree in Criminal Justice from Mercyhurst Northeast University. He was employed through General Electric. Richard was a family man, always wanting to have family over for cards to laugh and have fun. He enjoyed playing pool with his wife and friends. He loved watching football specifically the Steelers because they were his favorite team. Richard was a lovable person, always wanted to make sure everyone was alright. He was a dedicated husband, brother, and uncle.
He was survived by his wife Annette Williams and two step daughters Andrea Hammon and Deshemia Johnson and also 5 step grandchildren. Three brothers Randy Tangle, Ronnie Tangle, and Russell Williams(Stephanie Williams) and also a sister Christine Williams Coulibaly (Hyacinthe Coulibaly) and lots of nieces and nephews. He also left behind many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Jean Tangle Williams, his father Richard L. Williams Sr., a brother Robin Williams, and a sister Chantelle Williams. Friends may call at the Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church 2624 German Street, Erie, PA 16504 on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the of service 11:30a.m. with Bishop Jesse Gavin officiating.
