Richard Trohoske Sr.

Richard L. Trohoske, Sr. age 86, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in Erie on November 19, 1936, a son of the late John and Louise Schneider Trohoske.

He graduated from Tech Memorial High School in 1954 and went on to serve in the United States Airforce until 1958.

Richard worked at Erie City Iron Works and retired from Erie Press Systems after 23 years.

He was a member of St. Julia Church and the Sportsman’s Athletic Club.

Richard enjoyed golfing and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Guardians fan. He was a very caring and helpful man and most especially he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roszan Trohoske; a son Gary Trohoske; four brothers, Robert, Michael, James and John Trohoske and a sister, Elizabeth.

He is survived by four children, Richard Trohoske, Jr. and his wife Carol of Erie, Cindy Gawlik and her husband Peter of Strongsville, OH, Greg Trohoske and his wife Kathy and Sherri Sadden and her husband Stephen both of Erie; 10 grandchildren, Zachary, Stephanie, Matthew, Cassidy Jacob, Nicole, Ryan, Skyler, Seth and Samuel; two great grandchildren, Lennon and Wyatt; a sister, Joan Laub of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Friday December 9, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Church 638 Roslyn Ave, Erie, PA 16506. Entombment to follow in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
