Richard W. Stammer, age 103, of Erie, PA passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024 at Manchester Commons with his family by his side. He was born in New York City on October 4, 1920, the son of the late Rev. Henry E. and Mary Archinal Stammer.
Richard proudly served in WWII in the Corp of Engineers. He was a graduate of the College of Idaho in 1941 and was employed as a Chemical Engineer at Erie Resistor Corporation for 41 years. Richard loved sailing with his wife, Bert, on the bay at Presque Isle.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Roberta and brother, Harold L. Stammer.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet Lloyd of Ridgefield, CT, Susan Cunningham of Lake City, PA and Kathrine Fine of Windsor, CT. He is further survived by two grandchildren, Rebecca (John) Leshinski and Daniel (Raquel) Fine; great-grandchildren, Ian and Johnny Leshinski and Isabela Fine.

Private services were held. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street, Erie.
