Richard Olson

Richard J. Olson, age 74 of Erie passed away quietly at home on Monday, July 31, 2017.

He was born in Erie, PA on May 17, 1943, the son of the late Richard and Doris Fluegel Olson.

He served in the United States Air force from 1961 to 1965.

Richard owned and operated Erie PC Distribution, and also worked at Computer Discount Center for 2 years, Reed Manufacturing for 7 years, Zurn Industries for 11 years and Riley Stoker Corporation for 7 years.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a son Richard Olson in 2015 and by his brother, Daniel Olson in 2014.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Olson; 7 children and step children; Richard, Anita, Michael, Melissa, Michelle, Charles and Kim. He also leaves many grandchildren, 2 step grandsons and several great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2500 Norcross Road, on Thursday from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm.

Burial will be private.
