Richard Nelson

Richard A. Nelson, age 65, of Erie, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Lecom Senior Living.

He was born in Erie, PA on May 20, 1955, a son of the late Arthur E. and Marjorie M. Neth Nelson.

Richard graduated from East High School in 1973 and attended Pitt at Titusville.  He worked in Production at G.E. Corporation for over 40 years retiring in 2019.

He enjoyed bowling, playing darts and golfing.  He also loved to go to the casino and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Nelson Hall in 2007.

He is survived by a sister, Susan L. Nelson of Erie, three nieces, Patricia Agnello (John) of Reminderville, OH and Jennifer Hall and Kristin Kaiser of Erie and a nephew, Charles Hall, all of Erie. He is further survived by three great-nieces, Emily, Madison and Miranda, a great-nephew, Devin and several cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Wintergreen 2532 Norcross Road, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lucas Danowski from Grace Fellowship officiating.  All CDC regulations including wearing masks, social distancing and capacity limits will be followed.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
