Richard Jones

Richard A. Jones, age 87, of Waterford, passed away May 1, 2022.  

He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 1, 1935, a son of the late Edward G. & Lena M. Smith Jones.  

Richard was a bricklayer for over 50 years.  He was a member of Corry Lodge #365 F&AM.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting, cooking & baking, and music. 

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothea Hicks Jones, and two brothers:  Ronald & Donald Jones.  

He is survived by his wife Diana Walker Jones, son Lawrence Jones of Randolph TX, step sons Kevin Hagberg (Jennifer), of Fort Mitchell AL, Keith Hagberg (Cheryl) and Kenneth Hagberg, both of Waterford.  Richard is further survived by his grandchildren: Inez Rourk (Richard), Jessica Waldon, step grandsons;  Adam & Alex Hagberg, and Christian & Patrick Magee, 4 great-grandchildren along with his sister Emma Jane Knapp (David).  

A reception of friends will be held at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services West Ridge, 3801 West 26^th, St., Erie PA, 16506 on Thursday May 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.   

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s own choice.
