Richard Brady

Richard P. Brady age 91, of Fairview, passed from this world to his heavenly home on Friday, September 9, 2016. He went peacefully, surrounded by his family who will miss him dearly.

He was born in Indiana, PA on July 3, 1925, a son of the late Arlington and Bertha Lightcap Brady. Following graduation from Plumville High School he served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. After the war he was a self-employed Farm Improvement Contractor for many years. He enjoyed shuffleboard, gardening and milkshakes thick enough to walk on.

In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by six brothers; Lisle, Glenn, William, Wendell, Stanley and Park Brady along with sisters; Evelyn McMillen and Emabel Borgandy.

In addition to his wife Eva Jane Lemmon Brady, he is survived by his brother Blaine Brady and his wife Gracie of Melbourne, FL; his son, John K. Brady of Warren, PA, three daughters, Vicki Harker (David) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Cheryl Johnson (Eric) of Erie and Brenda Burger (Neil) of Fairview. Six grandchildren and one great granddaughter also remain along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Private services were under the care of Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
