Richard Benson

Richard L. Benson, age 54, of Erie, died Monday December 30, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Born in Erie on April 15, 1959 son of the late Lloyd and Mary Benson.

A graduate of McDowell High School, Class of 1977 Richard was a Personal Caregiver with Community Resources for Independence. Richard loved life, the beach and the outdoors, but most of all he loved his family and friends; he has friendships lasting over 40 years. He is survived by his daughter, Kristina Benson and her hubby, Greg Bores; a grandson, Casey Bores; a step-granddaughter, Alexis Bores and his life-long love, Pamela Jankowski (Kristina’s mother) and her other children, Joey and Tara.

Services were private and entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th Street.
