Richard W. Bennett

Richard W. Bennett age 76, of Erie, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at UPMC Hamot. 

He was born in Centerville, Pa on April 13, 1948, a son of the late Chester and Margaret Stufflebeam Bennett. 

Richard worked at GE for many years. 

He was a member of the St. Mary’s Club of Erie. 

Richard referred to himself as a “Good ol boy” and enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved being outdoors listening to classic country music. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Melvin, Don and Evertt Bennett, Reeta Sanford, Betty Shuman and Shirley Young, and his wife, Patricia Bennett. 

He is survived by his two children, Sherrie Miller (Dave) and Rich Bennett (Aileen); 9 grandchildren, David, Autumn, Dakota, Taylor, Kavin, Hunter, Dallas, and Grayson; 3 great grandchildren, Aydin, Kloee and Carmella and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

In the words of Richard, “I don’t know when, but I’ll see you next time”. 

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday, May 9^th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
