Richard A. Allen

Richard A. Allen, age 87, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Butler, PA September 29, 1935 to the late Rueben and Dorothy Daughtery Allen. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was a member of the Billy Simpson VFW, and the Knights of St. George, he loved socializing, classic cars, the New York Yankees, and the Cleveland Browns. Richard was very patriotic, and proud of his service to his country.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Parr (John), Monica Blanks, and Lisa Tate-Boyd. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Brent Taylor, Will Blanks, and Christina Blanks; by 3 great grandchildren, a sister Ruth Ranson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Allen, his brother John Allen, and a grandson Albert (Dink) Tate.

Friends are invited to call on the family, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie.
