Reverend James W. Lynn went into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 28, 2018, after a very short but brave battle with neuroendocrine carcinoma at the age of 76. He was born December 5, 1941 in Sharon, Pa, a son of the late Floyd and Alice Ewing Lynn.
Jim graduated from Hubbard High School in Ohio in 1959 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. After his marriage in 1965 he was called into the ministry and attended Spurgeon Baptist Bible College, Baptist Bible College (Clarks Summit) and Tennessee Temple to receive his Masters of Ministry.
Jim was a multi-faceted man who enjoyed many occupations through the years such as factory worker, insurance investigator, policeman, funeral director, banker, realtor and his final passion for 43 years as pastor in various churches in the United States. He was dedicated and faithful in helping and mentoring people.
He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lauren Lynn, and his sister, Doris VanHorne.
Survivors include his wonderful wife of 53 years, Vikki Kohlhof Lynn; a daughter, Brenda Henry of Millcreek; a son Bryan of Tampa, Fl.; two grandchildren, Corey and Amanda (Andrew); and two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Ryder.
