Rene Quirk

Rene (Rick) Quirk, age 67 of Erie, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at his residence. Rene, also known to others as “Frenchie” retired from General Electric.

Rene was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed growing plants, horticulture and was an amazing cook. He loved to ride motorcycles in his younger years. Rene also loved music and was an artistic person.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dolores Greathouse Quirk; wife, Joan Parker Quirk; son, John Quirk; and his brother, Daniel Quirk.

Rene will be greatly missed by his family which includes daughter, Renee Quirk Stubenhofer; son-in-law, Jay Stubenhofer; daughter-in-law, Jill Coletta; grandchildren: Kylee Coletta, Taylor Quirk, Cohen Quirk, Anthony and Jeremy Stubenhofer; sister-in-law, Helen (Joseph) Schneider. In addition, he is also survived by a host of many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502 on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5-7 p.m., with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
