Rebecca Tamilin

Rebecca E. Tamilin “Becky” passed away on July 5, 2018 in Ormond Beach, FL.  She was born on June 14, 1955 in Erie, daughter of the late Elizabeth (Gensheimer) Tamilin and Andrew Tamilin.  

Rebecca attended Saint Andrew’s Grade School and Strong Vincent High School.  After a long and successful career in the commercial fishing business with her husband, the late Doug King, she returned to Erie to complete her education at Erie Business School.  She was quite proud of both achievements.  As a young woman, Rebecca was an accomplished figure skater with the Westminster Figure Skating Club which sponsored her in both local and regional competitions. 

In addition to her parents, Rebecca is preceded in death by her brother Christopher. 

Survivors include her brother Peter and wife Kathy of Fairfax, VA; her brother David of Lemoyne, PA; and her sister Sarah of Erie.  Also surviving are nieces, Elizabeth V. Tamilin and family of Erie; Emily Tamilin of Charlotte, NC; Moriah Tamilin of North East, PA; and nephew Andrew Tamilin and family of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

Friends and family of Rebecca are invited to a service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel on July 27 at 10:00 followed by a luncheon at the Colony Pub and Grille.  Arrangements are being handled by Quinn Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 15120 Chicago, IL 60693.
