Rebecca “Becca” “Becca Boo” Rose Seelinger age 18, of Canadohta Lake passed away unexpectently on October 24, 2013.
She was born on January 22, 1995 loving daughter of Yvonne Myers and Kenneth Seelinger, Jr.
Becca was a 2013 graduate of Union City High School where she was an honor student and was in drumline for the marching band. She was currently attending Mercyhurst College majoring in criminal justice/forensic science. She was a member of the N.W.P.A. Hemophilia Association, volunteer counselor with Camp Hemovon, she was the 2011-2012 Miss French Creek. She was employed by McDonald’s in Corry. She was very active in sports and especially enjoyed snowboarding. She was a peer educator and was always volunteering. She loved Hello Kitty, pigs and rabbits. She enjoyed hunting with her family. She loved her boyfriend, Dexter Davis, and looked forward to her future with him. She was proud to be called “Aunt Becca” & “Aunt BooBoo” by the nieces and nephews she loved so much. She was an active, outspoken military supporter and was proud of her biggest heroes, her brothers, Kevin & Jeremiah, for serving.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Arlene Seelinger; step-grandmother, Janet Myers; grandfather Charles “Poppy Chuck” Darzen and her beloved dog, Tucker.
Survivors include her mother, Yvonne Myers and her husband, Jim; Father, Kenneth Seelinger, Jr and his wife, Chris; maternal grandmother Stella Darzen; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Seelinger, Sr.; loving boyfriend, Dexter Davis; brothers, Kevin Seelinger and his wife Angelina, Ken Seelinger and Kayla, Robert Seelinger; step sisters, Amanda Bowen, Rachel Gerbik, Megan Mattern and her husband Jay, Natasha Phillips, Angela Fetterolf and her husband Tommy, Kristy McGuire; step-brothers, Michael Bowen, Kevin Myers, Jr and wife ReBecca, Jeremiah Myers, James Myers, Jr, Jimmy McGuire; special “brothers from other mothers” Nic Fosburg, Ethan Myers, Devin Blystone, Brandon Ranson and Cody Sibble; special friends cousins Maggie McGuire and Alyssa Ball, Brittanie Sabol, Devon Zara and Mark Rogers. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by her dogs, Alpine and Brutus. She will forever be remembered by all that she touched.
Memorial Dinner/Service will be held on Tuesday, October, 29th at 4 pm with Rev. Jim Parkinson at the Cambridge Springs Legion Post 381, 24642 Rt. 408, Cambridge Springs, PA with a benefit dinner to follow.
