Rebecca Holland

Rebecca “Becky” Holland, age 37, of Girard, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at UPMC Hamot.

Born in Erie on October 6, 1976, she was the daughter of Ella Mae (Bateman) and the late Andrew Buren.

Becky enjoyed gardening and spending time with her numerous nieces, nephews and family. She loved animals and especially her pet cow “Trigger”. Becky will be remembered for being a loving wife and mother.

She is preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents, John and Mary Buren; brother in laws, Billy Holland and Harry Aulenbacher and several aunts and uncles.

In addition to her mother, Becky is survived by her husband of 13 years, Thomas Holland, her daughter Anastasia Rose and son Mathew Thomas; her siblings: Michael and his wife Cathlin, Rosemary Aulenbacher, Joanne Markham and her husband Sam, Arlene Buren Senyo and her husband Jacob, Pam Buren and her companion Robert Senyo, Ella Mae Lovin and her husband Scott, John Buren, Hobert Buren and Joshua Buren, all of Erie County; aunts: Nellie Lohr and Emma Lovin of Albion. She is further survived by her husband’s family: Parents, Donald C. and Cheryl Kita Holland of Lake City, Thomas’s birth father William Paul White of Florida; Grandparents: Paul and Audrey Kita, siblings: Phillip Holland of Minnesota, Heather Holland of Lake City, Ryan White of Wrightsville, Joel, Dustin and Nick White of Florida; aunts and uncles: Paul and Cheryl Kita, Elaine and Donald Langer and Christine and Donald Sherman all of Erie, Robert and Lisa Kita of Colorado, Kathy and Chuck Posway of N.C., Dave and Kathy Young of Michigan, Donna Jones of Florida, Sal-lee Holland , Richard and Susan Holland, and Virginia and Mike Hayes all of N.Y; as well as many, many nieces and nephews and one great niece.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Sunday from 6 p.m until 8 p.m and Monday from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m., and are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday at 11 a.m at St. John’s Evangalical Lutheran Church, 8942 Ridge Rd.
