Rebecca Goehring

Rebecca L. Goehring age 72, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her residence with her daughters by her side.

She was born in Erie on March 11, 1950, a daughter of the late Roy and Winniefred Powell Riesdorph.

Rebecca was a 1968 graduate of Academy High School. She was a loving and devoted homemaker and babysat many children over the years who still fondly refer to her as “Miss Becky”.

In 1968, she married her late husband Charles William “Bill” Goehring, who passed away in September 2021. Rebecca was an amazing wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend. She was full of love and shared that with her family, friends and the many children she cared for. She was an amazing cook and was an avid Buffalo Sabres and Erie Otters fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William “Bill” Goehring; a sister, Linda Miller and a brother, David Riesdorph.

She is survived by two daughters, Annmarie Goehring Patterson and Amy Goehring Wilson; four grandchildren, Andrew (Megan) Patterson, Sarah (Jared) Chromik, Sam (Rachel) Patterson and Hannah (Cory) Gransbury; great-grandson, Eli Charles Patterson and a soon to be great-granddaughter, Kira Sue Gransbury; nieces and nephews, Dawn (Mark) Lehman, George (Alanna) Riesdorph and Jennie (Steve) Gaskill; her best friend, Ruth (Pat) Wynne and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the incredible team at UPMC Hospice and the Cleveland Clinic (J8-2) and her transplant team for their amazing care and support.

A celebration of life for Rebecca and Charles will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the U Pick 6 Public House 4575 W. Ridge Rd, Erie, PA 16506.

Funeral Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
