Rebecca Engel

Rebecca J. Engel, age 58, of Girard, passed away, Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born in Erie, on December 7, 1956, a daughter of the late Emelio and Betty Jageman Marchini.

Rebecca was an independent newspaper distributor with customer service being her top priority. She loved life, needlepoint, flowers, gardening and especially animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Glen’s son, Jason Craft.

Rebecca is survived by her fiancée, Glen Craft; sons: Kevin James Engel and his wife Stephanie and Greg Bower; a daughter Amanda Engel and her fiancée Phillip Richman, all of Phoenix, AZ; her siblings: Emelie Desanti, Diane Felice, William Marchini and Barbara Abbey and her husband Richard; and two grandsons: Hunter and Landon Engel.She is further survived by Glen’s daughter, Cassandra ; former husband, Jerry Engel; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Thursday from 2-4 and 6- 8pm., and are invited to attend a prayer service on Friday at 9 am at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at 10 am at Calvary Cemetery.
