Raymond E. “Eddie” “Doc” Clinton, age 75 of Girard, PA, died Tuesday February 23, 2016 at St. Vincent Health Center.
He was born in Penfield, PA on August 25, 1940, a son of the late Marcella Williams Clinton Cheslock.
Raymond attended Dubois High School, and served in the U.S. Army, where he received his parachutist badge.
He worked as a machinist at General Electric for 25 years, retiring in 1994.
Raymond was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Western Star Lodge #304, F.&A.M. Albion.
He loved local dirt track racing, and NASCAR, but most of all he loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Arlene V. Murray Clinton on January 5, 2016, his sister Donna Renwick, and a great grandson, Gavien Longo.
Survivors include three children: Robert Wilt and his wife Pam of Cambridge Springs, Denise Clinton of Buffalo, NY and Raymond “Keith” Clinton, Sr. of Erie; eight grandchildren: Jason and Garrett Knight, Kevin Wilt, Eric Smith, Brandon Longo and Raymond Clinton, Jr., Matthew Young and Kyle Eisaman; one great grandson, Eric Smith, Jr., three great granddaughters: Jaiden and Skyler Knight and Kaydence Young, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, Girard.
