Raymond “Ray” Buck Jr. age 80, of Millcreek, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Curwensville, PA on November 19, 1933, a son of the late Raymond and Jane Smith Buck.
Ray retired from Erie Bronze and Aluminum after over 29 years of service..
He loved to watch football and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Ray took pride in caring for his family, home, yard and pets. He went everywhere with his wife and most importantly loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Buck and two sisters, Shirley and Ruth Ann Buck.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elsie Lindy Buck; a daughter, Ginny (Jim) Dombrowski; four sons, David (Ruby) Buck, Jeff Buck, Kelly (Joy) Buck, and Russell (Val) Buck; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four brothers, Jim, Don, Harold and Sam Buck; and a sister, Sandy Levine. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and his loyal companion, his dog Duffy.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street Erie, PA 16506 on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Harry Johns III officiating.
Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
