Ralph Lillberg

Ralph W. Lillberg age 89, of Fairview, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home.

He was born in Erie, on September 3, 1932 a son of the late Ralph I. and Genevieve Sitter Lillberg.

He attended St. Vincent High School and served in the United States Army. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Fairview for over 33 years, and many of those years as a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1996.  He was a member of the Fairview American Legion Post 742, Girard American Legion, Post 494, McKean and Edinboro Veterans of Foreign War, and the Siebenbuerger Club in Erie. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and baseball.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters: Mary Ann Heberlien, Jean Kobusinski, and JoAnne Hermann; and a special friend Barbara Deutsch.

He is survived by his son Timothy Lillberg of Erie; two daughters: Dawn Riazzi and her Fiancé Robert Graham of Erie and Debbie Garner and her husband Sam of Austin, TX;  five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard, on Saturday, November 6^th from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm, followed by full Military Honors.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
