Pierrette "Perri" J. Mizanin

Pierrette (Perri) J. Mizanin of Fairview, passed away on October 1, 2023 at her home at the age of 76.

She was born on July 23, 1947 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of the late Raymond and Cecile Jacques.

Perri, a devoted wife, is survived by the love of her life, her husband John D. Mizanin. Married on October 2, 1971, they shared almost 52 amazing years together.

She will be sadly missed by her sister, Linda Gazdag (Kenneth), nieces, Shannon (Matt), Sharon, Kelly (Chuckie) and Teri Lea; nephews, Keith, Nicholas, Scott (deceased) and Michael.

In addition to her parents, Perri was preceded in death by her beloved son, Justin J. Mizanin; her sister, Jacqueline Von Alt (Donald, deceased); her brother, Richard Jacques (Marilyn) and sister-in-law, Diana Machi (Michael).

Before Alzheimer’s disease took away her mind, Perri had a genuine talent for creating extraordinarily beautiful artificial floral arrangements. She enjoyed curling up with a good book, loved tending to her flower garden and when it came to interior home design, she was truly a 24-carat gold artisan. Perri loved to celebrate whether it was birthdays, holidays or any day. But undeniable joy came from sharing time and forging memories with family and friends, savoring a glass (or two) of a nice Cabernet and experiencing, delighting in and thoroughly enjoying life. She was truly a unique, gifted and caring woman who will be missed and cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Friends are welcomed to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie Pa on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. with Father Scott Detisch officiating.

A special thank you to the staff, nurses and aides from Interim HealthCare Hospice for their attentive and respectful care in Perri’s final days with us.

In lieu of flowers, you might consider a memorial contribution in Perri’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choosing.
